France stocks mixed at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.93% By Investing.com



Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the declined 0.93%, while the index climbed 0.14%.

The best performers of the session on the were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which rose 2.71% or 2.60 points to trade at 98.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Carrefour SA (EPA:) added 1.16% or 0.17 points to end at 14.77 and Danone SA (EPA:) was up 0.92% or 0.58 points to 63.78 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which fell 5.16% or 1.10 points to trade at 20.23 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) declined 4.55% or 1.31 points to end at 27.37 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:) was down 3.15% or 1.97 points to 60.51.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexans SA (EPA:) which rose 4.48% to 123.50, La Francaise Des Jeux Sa (EPA:) which was up 2.77% to settle at 37.80 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:) which gained 2.71% to close at 98.46.

The worst performers were Aperam SA (AS:) which was down 5.92% to 24.14 in late trade, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) which lost 5.16% to settle at 20.23 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) which was down 5.02% to 15.50 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 326 to 158 and 95 ended unchanged.

Shares in Danone SA (EPA:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 0.92% or 0.58 to 63.78. Shares in Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 5.02% or 0.82 to 15.50.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.40% or 10.00 to $2,517.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.77% or 2.77 to hit $70.78 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 4.36% or 3.38 to trade at $74.14 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.75.
