RFK Jr. suspends presidential campaign, endorses Trump By Investing.com

Investing.com – Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspended his U.S. presidential campaign on Friday and endorsed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Kennedy, who was running as an independent candidate, said he wasn’t terminating his campaign, but suspending it, choosing to remain on voting ballots in some states.

“I am not terminating my campaign I am simply suspending it and not ending it. My name will remain on the ballot in most states,” he said at an event on Friday in Arizona.

His support for the Trump campaign followed several meetings with the former president after which Kenny said he was “surprised” to discover that they both were aligned on many key issues.

“In those meetings, he suggested that we join forces as a unity party,” Kennedy said.

Following RFK’s endorsement, Trump expressed his gratitude, saying it was a “very nice endorsement.”

“I want to thank Bobby, that was very nice,” Trump said. “He’s a great guy, respected by everybody.”
